I especially recommend The Bat with vincent price and agnus moorhead. That's one of my favorites. The movie folder is located at the top of our members area.
Right-click and save the show to your computer. If your movie player won't play it, try the VLC media player. You can download it from our movie folder. These are big files and will require a pretty fast Internet connection, like DSL or a cable modem.

| I like the Charlie Chan movies, especially those featuring the character Birmingham Brown. He's hilarious, if a bit politically incorrect by modern standards. |

Didn't know there was a movie folder
Guess I need to explore a bit more, but this is my first day as a member. _________________ John |

| I can't recommend "The Mummy" movies enough. The original "The Mummy" is a classic Universal horror movie, up there with "Frankenstein" and "Dracula". Of the four sequels, I would suggest "The Mummy's Ghost" and "The Mummy's Curse", both being very excellent with Lon Chaney Jr. as the Mummy. Good stuff. Thanks for putting those in the folder, Brad. |

Which is what I do every Halloween. I usually make a week out of it, watching all the classics. |

| I've always liked the Charlie Chan movies. I used to watch them on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. Every so often the station (I think it was WGN) would rotate movies. For a while it would be Charlie Chan, then Ma and Pa Kettle and then Sherlock Holmes before starting in again with Charlie Chan. Always great fun to watch. I agree that the old Monster Movies are great too. I have some of them in the Legacy collections. Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy and Wolfman. Not to mention King Kong. Classics every one. |

I'm sorry, but we had to delete our movie folder. Even though we believe the movies to be in the public domain, our web hosting provider did not want to let us host them.
It was either do this or shut down the entire site. We couldn't do that, so we deleted the movies.
Many of the movies in my collection came from www.archive.org
The movies can be downloaded by anyone at no charge, so please feel free to visit them for old movies.
Here is the direct link to their movie section:

Thank you for your understanding,

| Thanks for the quick reply. I am sorry to hear that you had to delete the movie folder, but understand the reasons. I am a big fan of Old Time Radio. My husband and I are fortunate to spend time in the Caribbean where we don't have TV. So I spend time listening to OTR. I just discovered your web site and am delighted with all the shows that you have. Thanks for the great service you are providing. |

It's too bad you had to delete the movie section Brad. It's understandable that you had no choice, but sad at the same time. They do have some good movies over at the Archive. Among them are about half a dozen of Douglas Fairbanks Sr's movies. It's interesting to see how far movies have come since those early days. |

Is it really how far they've come or how far they have regressed?
Some of both I guess, just depends on what day it is.

I meant in regard to things like the special effects and of course the sound track. There are still some good movies being made though I agree there are also some plain turkey's out there as well. As it is I watch many on DVD usually when they are on sale for $5.00 rather than going to the movies now days. It's just too expensive to go that often anymore. You buy your ticket, popcorn and soda and you find yourself spending about as much as you would if you waited for the movie to come out fresh on DVD. It's crazy. |

I'm blessed to have a dollar movie theater down the street from me. My girlfriend and I can go and see a movie with large popcorn and sodas for less than the cost of two matinee tickets at the fancy first run theater at the mall. It's interesting to note that during the depths of the recession a couple of years ago, they actually dropped the ticket price to a dollar from $2.50 and they became more profitable by greatly increasing ticket sales and concession sales along with it.
The best part is the dollar theater is locally owned and family run, so more of my money is staying in the community when I patronize it, unlike the first run theaters, which are all corporate owned. Just about all of the other theaters in town are owned by two companies--Carmike and Regal.

Brad had to delete the folder due to the web hosting provider not wanting them on the site. |
