| I dare anyone to listen to this one in the dark. I listened to it in the afternoon, and the goosebumps are still showing. |

| It's odd that you should mention that Glory77. I understand some of the shows were originally aired late at night. Lights out for example was aired on Wednesdays at 11:30 pm & sometimes after midnight in 1934-39. Later it moved to 8pm (1942) according to Dunning. I can imagine some people back then had more than a few sleepless nights after listening to Mr. Oboler's tales. |

Hi All,
First post here and a new member. I really like NIGHTFALL in many ways. Like lots of other OTR as well. The opening for the show - "When you are falling..etc...Aaaaaaaaaa - NIGHTFALL" is great. One of my favorites is Feb 26, 1982 - "The Porch Light". Listen to it in the dark on a cold snowy evening - be sure to lock the doors. Thanks |

Yes, Nightfall is one of my favorites. I used to listen to it when I was in high school. It came on right after CBSRMT, but on a different station. CBSRMT was on AM 620 at 10:00 and Nightfall was on FM 91.5 at 11:00. All I had to do between shows was flip the AM/FM switch and tweak the dial ever so slightly to the right. It made for a good 90 minutes of listening.
The public radio station that played Nightfall had a different show on at 11:00 each night of the week, both old stuff and new, under the umbrella title of "The Radio Program: Adventures in Sound and Language for the Ear and Mind." |
