Hello Everyone! In response to Brad's request, here's a link to more Maigret mystery radio shows, all in mp3 format. A few more than we have in our club.
Copy and paste the link if it isn't highlighted. At the bottom of the page
click on Older Entries to see more.
This is a great forum, lots of good suggestions. Thanks all!
Tim

.
I've always liked Maigret, and these are quite good adaptations.
Like Maurice Denham and Michael Gough too. _________________ tuned in from down under |

I have listened to Our Town in Lux Radio Theater (1940) and A Farewell to Arms (1937) with Clark Gable over and over. Just a suggestion. The ending to Our Town is softened a bit from the original play, but great voicings from the cast. Gable in A Farewell to Arms is unmistakable.
Lux radio has some good adaptations, Henry Fonda in My Darling Clementine, John Wayne in Red River Valley, Ida Lupino in So Big,
Greer Garson in Mrs Miniver and Brief Encounter, my one complaint is they are too short! The play speed varies a bit also. I use Windows Media Player and slow it down a bit if necessary. Lux Radio has a lot to offer. |

| I enjoyed reading Maigret mysteries for French class. I didn't know that they were made into a radio series. Will definitely check them out! |

I posted more Maigret shows in the users upload area. I have a few more
but didn't want to exceed the 250 mb suggested limit.
The format is Maigret recalls his old cases in discussion with George Simenon. See TimBChicago folder. |
