OK, my good friends. I'll start the ball rolling with this show. It stars Agnes Moorhead (from the "Bewitched" TV show) and is about an old lady that takes in borders with mysterious consequences. Title: The Old Ones Are Hard To Kill. It's the first of 1399 CBS Mystery Radio Theater shows. You'll love it. It's great. Enjoy

I heard another good one the other day: Supense: Breakthough (Jan. 7, 1962.)

This is a fine cold war drama, obviously set in 1962 Berlin. Berlin was a city then was split in two; West Berlin (free Berline) and East Berline (Communist.)

The story centers around a man from the Western part of the city who has come to pick up his mother in the Eastern part of city. But it's not so easy getting back. As a matter of fact, it's quite an ordeal.

This story is fascinating not only for is suspenseful take of this historical situation but also the acting and characters involved.

I heard a particularly good Western the other day from the series THE DEATH VALLEY DAYS (episode is: 380617 The Burro Who Had No Name)

A couple of prospectors buy some burros but stay away from a white/grey one, who they think will bring them bad luck.

The plot seems simple enough but trust me, this one is worth listening to because it brings out a range of emotion in you. It's funny and it's sad as well.

As far as I know, there are only 6 or 7 DEATH VALLEY DAYS shows in existence. If anyone knows of more than that, please let me know where they can be found.

Baldi

Amiable whodunit series made by BBC Northern Ireland about a priest/professor who keeps stumbling across murders. Some scripts are by that old pro Simon Brett.

Want to share some good Christmas shows (maybe already mentioned):

CBSRMT - Christmas Carol - w/ HG Marshall acting - very good

CBSRMT - Private Miracle - I listen to this each year - great show.

Adventures in Good Music - Karl Haas - Story of the Bells - good luck finding this one - If you have a copy let me know there are multiple recordings - I have a copy on Vinyl - not really OTR - more new OTR. A great show for Christmas. It will be played on a few radio stations soon (traditionally on Christmas Eve). Love it.

Dragnet - 22 Rifle - a question here - my MP3 file kept stopping and restarting on different downloaded recordings, wonder if it is my MP3 player? Sad show.....talk about forgiveness – very tuff ending.

Dragnet - Big Jesus - wow - great show - nice twist.

Family Theater - Crossroads of Christmas - I have never heard this series before - really impressed - positive - great story for season.

Trying a few BBC Christmas shows - nothing connected yet. Any recommendations?

Christmas Carol - w/ Lionel Barrymore - many choices - have to say that the CBSRMT one is more fun.

Suspense - Christmas for Carol - really a great story

Suspense - Twas the night before Christmas - Another classic - just found this one.
