Hi
I voted for more of those great old time westerns!
Frontier Town
Frontier Gentleman
Six Shooter
As a matter of fact just about any western would be great for me!
Also really enjoy the old music radio shows like
Bing Crosby
Big Band Remotes
Kraft Music Hall
Moon River Show
Wake Up Ranch
Kay Kyser Show
G.I. Jive
Mail Call
Eddie Arnold Show
National Barn Dance
Just a few of my personal favorites - Kevin |

I'm starting to believe I like most old time radio shows. There are a lot of shows available, thanks to the generosity of Brad and Victor and Randy and a lot of other people who take the time to share. I think I really like finding the rare shows, the ones I never knew existed. I am not sure what ones I don't know about yet, but whenever I find a new one and listen, I almost always like it. Does anyone have some rare shows to share?

Shirley saw a request for the Kay Kyser Show and was nice enough to donate 21 shows from her personal collection.
Thanks for sharing Shirley
They are located in the members directory in the "music" folder. Then look for the "Kay Kyser" folder.

Thank you, Victor, for the shows. A lot of my collection came from your sharing. I appreciate that.

The problems with polls of this type is that they tend to compartmentalize OTR interests.
My largest collecting area, News and Actualities, didn't even make the list.
Personally, I collect everything and anything that ever came out of a speaker - quiz shows, soap operas, mysteries, children's shows, baseball games, discussion programs, big band music, classical music (well, most of that's "big band"! <g>), comedy shows, variety programs (the earlier the better) and so on.
P. S. I voted "horror." But that was in reality in fairly short supply during most of the Golden Age. |

George,
The poll was very general, just to get an idea of what people are listening to. But you can always post a more detailed description of what you like. Just like you did. Thanks for posting. Keep sharing your ideas and comments with us. That's what the forum is here for.

Hello Everyone,
I just registered and I'm very excited about contributing to the site.
My boss got me hooked on OTR about 8 years ago.
My favorite types of shows are Sci Fi, Westerns, Mystery and Detective.
I'm also fascinated with WWII programming and Christmas shows.
Brad, Thanks for the great site.

Can you upload shows concerning families and lives of people testifying of Jesus and God if not too touchy a subject? _________________ MSF17 |

I'd like to hear more local shows.
The breakfast show from the 1939 Washington full day broadcast is great with the super cool laid back presenter and the great music and transcibed ads, interviews and quizzes.
Shame it's such a rarity. A real time capsule and my favourite segment of the whole 18 hour broadcast! |
