Does anyone know what has happened to the Unofficial Fibber Mcgee and Molly site? I get webpage cannot be found when I try to go there.
I have been downloading programs for several months, now I can't get into the site.

solarpons,
I don't know where that page went, but I do know a very good alternative. If you join http://otr.154.ca/index.php?sid=f6622c7a3cb5cf4c1c910e45134f9069, then, go to the Jolly Boys Club you will find a thread for High Quality Fibber McGee and Molly shows. There are 580 episodes ( I think that is the right number). Someone from that site spent a lot of time upgrading the shows. I think you will like what you hear.

. . . it's good to see some posts here
Hello Shirley ~ ~
Let me clarify what you posted, Shirley. RickyLynn spent a lot of time uploading all of those episodes.
AND diadeloso spent a lot of money purchasing and a lot of time and love converting them to .mp3 . . .
If you would like to save Phineus some bandwidth . . the Flashing Dial is organizing a FM&M distro which includes all of the 154.ca episodes as well as the remainder . . in other words, a complete set.

Thanks for clarifying, Victor.
I was trying to upload all of the H Q F and M to my Multiply site just before things got really crazy, but I think because the files were so large I was only able to upload one at a time and many times it would stop at less than one minute and never did get uploaded. So, it really never worked the way I had hoped it would.
Yes, it does seem nice to see someone saying something on this site.

The Unofficial Site seems to be off air.
That's a pity -- I liked the way they posted a month's worth of FM&M every week, so over a long period you gradually built up quite a run of the original episodes of the show. _________________ tuned in from down under |

Thanks all. I'm going to check out otr.154 and the flashing dial.
While searching I ran across zoot radio, is this a good site?

Zoot Radio used to be a good site. Unfortunately, the person who created and owns the site is basically unavailable, which causes problems when someone posts garbage on the site. Some of us still go there. There are a lot of shows for downloading, but they are not high quality shows.

Shirley...I got quite a few FM&M, on the Archive site (folders). I think they are by year. Just wondered if the 154 set is the same, or does it contain more episodes than on the Archive site? If if does, then I would probably want to get in on the distro. I guess I can do that by going to Jolly Boys?
Just noticed that 154 is out...think it's more server problems. _________________ Gil |

Gil,
I bought the Fibber McGee and Molly shows from someone off eBay, but they were not high quality. I haven't checked with the internet archives, so I don't know how many they have.
I actually didn't know about the distro at the flashing dial until Victor mentioned it.

I just checked FD. Looks I'm already signed up for FM&M distro
BTW...has anyone tried out the new Archive site downloader? I really like the way the files are tagged, with this one! _________________ Gil |
