For quite some time, I had seen tantalizing tidbits about a radio adaptation of the British TV series "The Avengers". Apparently, it was produced and broadcast in South Africa in the early '70s, but the master recordings have been lost 
Fortunately, a number of episodes were taped off the air by a fan on a reel-to-reel deck, using a patch cord from his radio. These have been restored and are available for free at: http://aor.theavengers.tv/freestuff_serials.htm .
I think it's a pretty cool find. |
