One site I visit often that has nothing directly to do with OTR is www.mobileread.com A number of their books had to be moved to an offline status when they changed servers but they still have a good number of PD books in ebook format available and they link to bargains for ebooks that are for sale at places like kobo, B&N and Amazon. PD (public Domain) books that they get from places like Project Gutenberg are given a proper cover, have their TOC's (Table of Contents) fixed so that they are functional and are posted in different formats like epub and Kindle so that people can have good access to them.[/url]

.
I've seen that site, it's pretty good.
They even have a set that collects all the available stories about R. Austin Freeman' Victorian sleuth Dr Thorndyke. Great stuff.

They have had a reduction in ebooks that are available onsite recently. They shifted servers from a life+50 area to a life +70 area of the world. So some books that were available there are 'temporarily' offline til the U.S. catches up (so they say). Though I wonder with some choices. Several that I uploaded from project Gutenberg are now 'offline' though I don't know for certain why in any of the cases (since they didn't tell me). Why they didn't tell the uploaders via email I don't know. Certainly while they were shifting through the books to see which had to be moved they could have made a listing of who did which, and why they were being moved. Then gone through and informed the uploader. After all they didn't just move everything at once on the spur of the moment. Mad
