Dear people
I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum in which to post. It's my first time here.
My main love and the reason I joined this forum was to listen to the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce interpretations of Sherlock Holmes, but I found so far that there are some which are incomplete.
So far these are:
The Bruce Parthington Plans
Wisteria Lodge
Boscombe Valley Mystery
The Stockbroker's Clerk
The Missing Dancer (how ironic)
I'm wondering if they are in there for any special reason, or if no one has actually listened to them. I think if there is a reason they are still included, it may be useful to have some indication to listeners that they are incomplete, to avoid frustration and be left hanging.
Thanks!

Hi there and welcome to the forum.
I can't answer your question but I can tell you, I have the first 2 on your list there and they are complete, but may be missing the last commercial. The time on both is more than 29 minutes, so they should be almost complete.
I don't have the other 3,; probably the reason is, I don't collect incomplete episodes of some series - and mysteries are certainly one of those.
If you want the 2 I have, give me a shout and I'll see that you get them. _________________ http://otrbuffet.blogspot.com

Why not send the episodes to Brad so he can add them to the collection.

Hi Jimbo, Merry Xmas and thanks! Interestingly enough as I listen on I realise that the incomplete Brice Parthington Plans (39-11-06) is exactly the same as The Missing Submarine Plans (43-09-1 . So it's just those others I'm missing. If you could post the Wisteria Lodge one I'd be infinitely obliged to you!
Once again thanks! |

i DID SOME CHECKING AND THOSE SHOWS ARE INCOMPLETE. tHE REASON FOR THAT IS BEUCASE THE SHOWS WERE OFTEN RECORDED ON TRANSCRIPTION DISCS FOR DISTRUBUTION IT USUALLY TOOT TWO DISCES TO CONTAIN A WHOLE SHOW AND IT SI MOST LIKELY THAT THE REASON TTHE SHOWS YHO ARE TALKING ABOUT ARE INCOMPLETE IS BEUCASE THE DISCS ARE EITHER MISSING OR DESTROYED.

Sorry I didn't know that the shows were incomplete. Maybe together we can find the missing episodes if they exist.

hmm well I uploaded the 29+ minute show yesterday, it should be up soon. Maybe the file I had was one that someone had put together both sides of the record. _________________ http://otrbuffet.blogspot.com

I just moved the Wysteria Lodge file over that Jimbo sent in. It's in the Sherlock Holmes, Conway Bruce Folder.
Filename: 470512_Wysteria_Lodge_aka - The Voodoo Curse.mp3
Thanks Jimbo
