It's springtime Jimbo. It may slow down a bit as the weather gets warmer.

| Too sometimes a person is busy playing round with a new toy. I bought a Kindle last month and have been reaquainting myself with the written word of late. lol. It can play mp3 files so if I want I can even load some OTR onto it and listen, though it doesn't have the ability to scroll through audio files at present. Something for the future development perhaps. |

Looks like everyone has had a busy year. I've been busy changing diapers and helping my wife take care of our newborn son! (Talk about new 'gadgets ' to figure out!)
As for OTR, been listening to a lot of Tales of the Texas Rangers. Really cool show I never heard of before recently. Anyone else a fan?
Definitely my Nightwatch and Unit 99 addictions have gotten me into OTR crime shows. |

Congrats on the new addition to your family Zap. Just think in a few years you'll be able to start introducing him to fun of OTR.

| It can be fun introducing the youngest generation to vintage pop culture. Over Christmas, I introduced my three-year-old nephew to the 1940s Superman cartoons. He had never heard of Superman before (called him "Superhero") but after three episodes, he was an instant fan. |

Thanks, Brad. You're right! It's already amazing. I'm only starting to get a sense of what parenthood is really like, and loving every minute. Well, maybe not as much the poopy-diaper minutes, but everything else! (Amazingly, our newborn sleeps really well at night, so we haven't lost much sleep... yet!)
Definitely I'll be collecting Superman episodes for my son.
And human, I'm a huge fan of the 40's Fleischer/ Famous Studios Superman shorts too. (Especially from the viewpoint of being an animator myself). Great stuff- I can hardly wait to see if my son will dig them as much as your nephew. |

Yes, the quality of that animation is outstanding, even by modern standards. And the visual style has had an enduring influence. Just take a look at Batman: The Animated Adventures from the 1990s.
