Becker, House Detective

Becker, House Detective is a 13 episode half-hour mystery series from the Canadian Broadcasting Company. Becker works at a swanky resort hotel in the Rocky Mountain province of Alberta, Canada, in the early 1920s, protecting the hotel and its guests from swindles, scandals, and danger. Becker himself is a bit of an outlier, being a transplanted easterner with a good education and an adventurous past.

The show was part of the CBC Mystery Project (1992-2002), which produced a number of excellent series, including Midnight Cab. A web search revealed little about the creators and performers in the show and most of what I did find seem to copied from a single source, but I can attest that the show is well written, produced, and performed.
